 | Check the steering box lube regularly. If it runs out - big problems develop ! |
 | Check the rubber shift shaft bellows regularly ( under seat )- water can get into the transaxle if this is shot - I replaced mine with a piece cut from a nitrile rubber glove (thumb part) - fastened with a ty-wrap. |
 | Change the transaxle fluid regularly - it gets expensive if you have a lubrication related failure ( Water ) |
 | Adding grease zerks to the tie rod ends is useless - they are permanently lubed - it doesn't make steering any easier. |
 | Adding a grease zerk to the clutch pedal where it rides on the shaft - made the clutch a lot easier to operate. |
 | Use European spec belts - the US size cross references really don't fit - no matter what they tell you |
 | If you have a loader - I'd add the hydraulic oil filter. |
 | Check your governor oil - you don't want problems there as well. |
 | Check your valve clearances - at 500 hrs - mine were way loose - After adjustment, the engine was much quieter and had more power. |
 | Motoring the tractor backwards in 1st while applying pressure to the axle lock lever - makes it easier to lock. |
